Project 1: Composition and the Rule of Thirds

Our first project is to learn to compose images using the "Rule of Thirds".

The Rule of Thirds is a well-known rule for composing images that are pleasing to the eye.

Check here for a brief tutorial and several examples of the Rule of Thirds.

Your assignment is to take your digital camera and compose several photographs of friends, teachers or interesting objects around the school grounds using the "Rule of Thirds".

Then come back in to the computer lab and download your pictures on to the lab computer and see how they came out.

Post your pictures here on the blog so we can all see!

Good hunting!
